TEHREEK is seeking for competent and experienced (Theater Performing Group / Artist(s) to Perform a Community Theater on Life cycle / Social Issues ( Joyfull Learning)  at UC Shahrag district Harnai.


Note: Priority will be given to those candidates who have vast experience in performing community Level Theaters.

TEHREEK is implementing its Human & Institutional Development project in union council Shahrag of district Harnai with the financial support of PPAF. TEHREEK is seeking for competent and experienced trainer for staff TOT on “Peace, Pluralism & Inter provincial Harmony

 

Goal of Training:

The overall objective of the training is to develop/enhance the capacity TEHREEK staff members on 'Peace, Pluralism and Harmony” and its enable them to implement this approach in the field. The specific objective of the training is to:

 

  1. Design and deliver "TOT on ”Peace Pluralism and Interprovincial Harmony”
  2. To enhance participants knowledge on "Peace, Pluralism and Harmony" and enable them to deliver further trainings on reflect approach to the target communities.
  3. To create awareness regarding the concept of peace and conflict and understanding of basic terms
  4. How do people respond to conflict?
  5. What modes do people use to address conflict?
  6. What factors can affect our conflict modes?
  7. To sensitize participants on determinants of violent conflict or peace
  8. How to select your conflict management style
  9. Understanding on stages of conflict and peace with corresponding policy tools

 

Specific task for Trainer:

 

  1. Design 4 days training to address the needs of staff members.
  2. Prepare training reference material, modules, case studies etc. to be used during the workshop and submit to TEHREEK before the training.
  3. Build the capacity of the participants and enable them to replicate this training in the target community/field.
  4. Medium of instruction would be Urdu, and English can also be used for concept clarity.
  5. The facilitators/trainer shall use interactive learning methods to enhance participant’s understanding and training should be activity based.
  6. Conduct pre and post-test evaluation of participant’s knowledge.
  7. Prepare and submit the training report to TEHREEK

TERMS AND CONDITION

Responsibilities of Trainer/Consultant:

 

  1. Design the methodology and tools in accordance with current practices and standards; to be used to conduct the trainings, taking into consideration the information given by TEHREEK.
  2. Write the final detailed training report according to the guidelines provided by TEHREEK
  3. Hand over report to TEHREEK by the specified date.
  4. Communicate with TEHREEK focal person to identify any problems or issues that may be arising and to provide updates on the progress of the process.
  5. Ensure that the methodology used is understandable to all participants
  6. Trainees assessment and feedback on the training will be provided to TEHREEK after the trainings which include the following:
  7. Signed list of participants who attended training
  8. A brief summary of how the training was received by the participants
  9. Pictures

 

Responsibilities of TEHREEK:

 

TEHREEK is responsible for providing the following components to assist with the completion of the training reports

 

  1. Training consultancy fee
  2. Training Venue
  3. Refreshment for Trainers and participants
  4. Provide stationary for the participants
  5. Provide a contact person to address any concerns or difficulties may encounter during the training and to oversee the entire training process
  6. Ensure appropriate number of trainees to attend the training.
  7. Payment of financial agreements that are stated in the agreement.
  8. Review and comment on training report prior to finalizing by trainer/consultant

 

Reporting Requirements

The trainer will submit training report in English language along with annexure(s), if any, in a systematic manner within seven (7) working days after the completion of assigned task. The training report must be on a standard format. The training report will be reviewed by TEHREEK and may send back to trainer for further review and flourish in the light of observations and comments from TEHREEK until the report is finalized.

The specific objective of the training is to:

 

  1. Design and deliver  4 days TOT on “Knowledge Management Publication and Data Consolidation”
  2. To enhance participants knowledge and understanding about the importance of gathering and using knowledge, ability to consolidate the data and develop material for publication.

Rural Connectivity and current Best Practices

Rural Connectivity will be focused in terms of latest facilities and best practices to enhance the vision of rural communities. There are several best examples in South Asia and rest of the world on this subject. Digital Hub concept will be internalized by the participants and initiative will be taken to engage the youth for access and use of the technology.

 

Open Defecation Free Villages

CLTS (community-led total sanitation) encourages community self-analysis of existing defecation patterns and threats, and promotes local solutions to reduce and ultimately eliminate the practice of open defecation. Open defection free villages would be the outcome of the training as per area requirement. CRPs and community members will motivate their communities for this action and will report their achievement as per action plan.

 

Strategic Planning Exercise at LSO level

Strategic planning exercise training will be conducted at UC level and thematic area of improvement will be highlighted with participatory approach. Third Tier Institution will have this exercise for their UC planning based on current needs and available resources. Through this exercise broad based representation of community institutions would be engaged ideally.

Youth Centers (vertical and horizontal growth)

Youth Centre (vertical and horizontal growth) framework will be explained. Through this training Youth Champions will be further capacitated to get their contribution in socio economic development. In addition, the YCs are meant to support a cluster of social enterprises that serve the dual purpose of solving socio-economic problems (including rural connectivity) and youth engagement.

 

Values, Governance and Management

Community institutions and CRPs should know about the core values of PPAF and its importance in context of social mobilization as well. Democratic nature of community institutions needs to be promoted and its management cycle will be explained to community members. Targets of specific action will be set for mutual action focusing 2nd and 3rd tier institutions.

 

Refresher training on PSC and its Management

Through this training community members and CRPs will be able to understand its scope of work for future use. They will have its management and may also use for impact assessment or as a baseline for new intervention.

Under this package, LSOs have to develop their systems and procedures i.e. HR, Financial, Management, Governance etc. LSOs members will be part of this exercise to know and understand its true spirit. Document will be handed over to LSOs in hard and soft for future use and modification if they need be.

 

Development of Proposals

Service of an institute or professional would be hired to develop proposal for LSOs. It will help out LSOs avail the external resources Readymade proposal will be handed over to LSOs in hard and soft for future use and modification.

 

Peace, Pluralism and Inter Provincial Harmony

Trainings will be arranged on peace, pluralism and inter provincial harmony and village level representation will be ideal to promote the concept at basic unit level. Tolerance, brotherhood, Civic Rights, religious harmony, conflict management, pluralism and patriotism will be the thematic areas of this training. Three days activity may be suggested in the end a ceremonial Peace Walk will be organized in main town to educate the people.
